The 420 kilocalories that a pint of beer provides are almost like a meal.

The Hefeweizen beer, also known as Weisses or Weissbier, consists – as its name suggests – largely of wheat. With its slightly fruity sweetness and high carbon dioxide content, it is almost reminiscent of lemonade, apart from an alcohol content of five to six percent. In terms of calories, it surpasses the non-alcoholic refreshment: half a liter of wheat beer has 260 kcal, 100 milliliters has 52 kcal. On average, a lemonade is only around 40 kcal.

The special beer is also known as Pilsener. The special is fresh, tart and light in taste. With an alcohol content of 4.9 percent, half a liter contains 210 kcal. That sounds manageable, but the special is considered to be particularly appetizing, so it’s best enjoyed in bulk and after a meal. With 42 kcal per 100 ml, it is the same as the average soda.
Due to its low alcohol content (around 1.5 percent), it is almost considered alcohol-free and should actually be one of the figure-friendly drinks. Because it is also brewed but not properly fermented, it is sometimes not considered a real beer. The dark color is achieved by the addition of caramel, so the drink is no lower in calories than normal beer. Half a liter contains around 205 kcal, 100 ml contains 41 kcal. However, there are different malt beers, so it’s worth taking a look at the nutritional table. The drink is also rich in vitamin B1 and is particularly popular with athletes.
The ale is a mostly amber-colored English beer whose alcohol content is between 4.5 and 6.5 percent, depending on the brewing method. It is relatively low in carbon dioxide and has a slightly bitter taste. The lower alcohol versions are relatively light at 195 kcal. On average, 100 milliliters of ale contain 39 kcal, which is less than the same amount of low-fat milk.
Given its high alcohol content (at least 6.5 percent), it is hardly surprising that strong beer contains 61 kcal per 100 ml. At 305 kcal, half a liter of the predominantly dark beer has more calories than a small piece of Black Forest cake.
Half a liter of non-alcoholic beer contains 100-125 kcal, 100 milliliters have around 20 kcal. The healthy thirst quencher is rich in minerals and carbon dioxide, but not quite as tasty as its alcoholic counterparts.
